A Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) posted in Narayanpet district, Telangana was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) after allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹25,000 to complete official work. According to reports, the officer had sought money from a person for processing a government-related matter.
The ACB officials conducted a trap operation and caught the officer while accepting the alleged bribe amount. Following the arrest, a case was registered and further investigation was initiated by the authorities.
The incident has drawn attention toward the importance of transparency and accountability in public administration. The ACB continues its investigation to gather more details regarding the case and the officer’s involvement.
